By transforming the natural materials found in biomass, Bloom Biorenewables has created the first real alternative to petroleum.
Their technology offers the possibility of going beyond current limits. Using aldehyde-assisted fractionation (AAF) technology, they effectively separate the cellulose fraction while stabilizing lignin polymers and hemicellulose-derived sugars. These stabilized structures make it possible, for the first time, to exploit the full potential of lignin and hemicellulose for use in cosmetics, materials, fuels and flavorings.
