Terms andconditions
Fri Up Association
Conditions applicable to the advisory meetings, workshops, events, memberships and file handling offered by the Fri Up Association.
Last updated: 9 October 2026These general terms and conditions (hereinafter “T&Cs”) govern the relationship between the Fri Up Association, the canton of Fribourg's official body for supporting business creation and start-up development (hereinafter “Fri Up” or “the Association”), and any person who benefits from its services, takes part in its events or submits a project to it (hereinafter “the Beneficiary” or “the Project Holder”). Any appointment booking, registration for a workshop/event or submission of a file constitutes full and complete acceptance of these T&Cs.
Art. 1 Scope
These T&Cs apply to all services offered by Fri Up: advisory meetings, coaching and mentoring, file handling and advice, thematic workshops, networking events, “Fri Up Members” membership, and the assessment of financing applications within the framework of the Seed Capital Fribourg Foundation. They take precedence over any conflicting conditions of the Beneficiary, unless Fri Up has given prior written agreement.

This list is not exhaustive: Fri Up may adapt its services according to the needs of the ecosystem and the policies of the canton of Fribourg.
Art. 3 Number and scope of advisory meetings
Advisory meetings for business founders are, in principle, limited to one or two appointments.
For start-ups with an innovation, the number is adapted to the project's progress and the Beneficiary's needs, as well as to the assessment of Fri Up's business coaches and the project's value-creation potential for the canton. The Beneficiary cannot claim a right to a given number of meetings.
Art. 4 Booking appointments, registering for workshops and events
Appointments and registrations are made online via the forms on friup.ch, by phone or by email. The Beneficiary undertakes to provide accurate information enabling the appointment or event to be confirmed and to run smoothly.
If unable to attend, the Beneficiary is asked to inform Fri Up as soon as possible. Fri Up reserves the right to cancel or postpone an event or workshop, in particular if there are too few participants, and will inform registered participants as soon as possible.
Art. 5 “Fri Up Members” membership
Membership as a “Fri Up Member” gives access to events and the Fribourg start-up ecosystem under the terms described on friup.ch. These terms may be adjusted over time.
Art. 6 Financing applications to the Seed Capital Fribourg Foundation
Fri Up runs the Seed Capital Fribourg Foundation. In this context:
- submitting a financing application (business plan, financial projections, pitch deck, etc.) carries no guarantee that a loan or financing will be granted;
- the assessment of applications and the decision to grant them lie with the competent governing bodies of the Seed Capital Fribourg Foundation in accordance with its articles;
- Fri Up may support the Project Holder in preparing the application, without this prejudging the final decision;
- information submitted as part of an application is subject to the rules of the privacy policy of Fri Up and the Seed Capital Fribourg Foundation. This information may be freely exchanged between the two legal entities;
Art. 7 Confidentiality
Fri Up and its staff undertake to treat information relating to projects, companies and files submitted to them as confidential. This information is only shared with persons or bodies strictly necessary for supporting or assessing a file (in particular the Seed Capital Fribourg Foundation or, under the conditions set out in article 8 of the privacy policy, a partner of the ecosystem or of Fri Up). Fri Up partners consulted for advice and specialist expertise only receive the information strictly necessary, are bound by confidentiality and may only use it to respond to Fri Up's request.
Art. 8 Intellectual property
Materials, methods, documents and workshop content provided by Fri Up remain its property and are intended solely for the Beneficiary's personal use; any reproduction or distribution to third parties is prohibited without Fri Up's prior written consent.
Projects, ideas and documents (business plan, pitch deck, etc.) submitted by the Project Holder remain their exclusive property. Their transmission to Fri Up or to the body mentioned in article 6 constitutes neither an assignment nor a licence to use them.
Art. 9 Results and liability
The support provided by Fri Up in no way constitutes an obligation of result: no outcome of any kind (business success, obtaining financing, development timeline or other) can be guaranteed.
Fri Up accepts no liability for damage and consequences resulting from a decision taken by the Beneficiary on the basis of the advice received. Beneficiaries and Project Holders remain at all times responsible for their business choices and decisions.
Art. 10 Data protection
Fri Up processes the Beneficiary's personal data in compliance with the Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP). This data is processed in particular for the purposes of support and advice, organising events, assessing financing applications and managing membership. To find out more, see our privacy policy.
Art. 11 Amendments to the T&Cs
Fri Up reserves the right to amend these T&Cs at any time. The applicable T&Cs are those in force on the date of first contact and exchange of information, registration or submission of the file, unless the new version has been expressly communicated to the Beneficiary or Project Holder. The current version is available on friup.ch.
Art. 12 Applicable law and jurisdiction
These T&Cs are governed by Swiss law. In the event of a dispute, the parties will endeavour to find an amicable solution. Failing that, the exclusive place of jurisdiction is Fribourg (canton of Fribourg), subject to any mandatory jurisdiction provided by law.
