Bewe (Neuria) is a spin-off from the University of Fribourg that develops science-based digital solutions to improve public health.
Made up of experts in neuroscience, psychology and computer science, the team has developed “The Diner”, a game that enables players to gradually give up their bad eating habits. The player must select healthy foods as quickly as possible, and never click on junk food.
This patented mechanism of action gradually modulates the responses of the brain’s motivation and reward systems through repetition. Each time the player refrains from selecting an unhealthy food in the game and is rewarded for doing so, he or she gradually loses the desire to consume the same food in real life.
