NeighborHubs and polls of a new kind – we’re supporting two innovative new projects!
Enoki: In 2017, Switzerland won the international Solar Decathlon competition in Denver (USA) thanks to the NeighborHub solar pavilion developed jointly by EPFL, HEAD, HEIA-FR and UniFR. A year later, six former students and members of the NeighborHub creative team decided to continue the adventure by founding the start-up Enoki in Fribourg. Their goal: to create other NeighborHubs in neighborhoods throughout Switzerland and beyond. These Hubs will not only be examples of sustainable architecture. Built according to local needs, they will offer neighbors a whole range of services and activities designed to promote and facilitate sustainable living. The first NeighborHub, the competition’s prototype, has already been welcoming visitors to the Bluefactory site in Fribourg since the beginning of the year.
About You: “On a scale of 1 to 10, how highly would you recommend this product?” You may already have answered a similar question in one of the many satisfaction questionnaires sent out by companies to test their customers’ preferences. Unappealing questionnaires, for the taste of start-up About You, whose mission is to dust off the art of the survey. How do they do this? By creating an application offering questionnaires that are both entertaining for participants and useful for the companies that employ them. Some surveys, for example, can evolve according to user feedback. Others, with more amusing or personal questions, will transform the About You application into a daily companion for the user.
